Greetings Seniors and Senior Families

Graduation is Saturday, June 8th at 2pm-4pm - students are expected to arrive at 1:00pm. We want to make sure that you have all the information you need to be prepared and ready for the big day. Included in this packet is pertinent information about Seniors’ Last Day and the 2019 Graduation Ceremony. We have also included maps and pictures for your convenience. Please note that Rose Parade will also be happening the same day as our graduation ceremony on June 8th. Please make sure you account for traffic and parking.

There will be American Sign language and Spanish interpretation of the graduation ceremony. For Spanish, there will be headsets available and for Sign language an interpreter will be on stage. For American Sign language, the interpreter has asked for families using this service to sit in a designated section. If you plan on using this service please notify Ms. Lewis.  PSU provides a viewing section on the entry level floor for those using wheelchairs. There will also be some reserved first row seating in each section of the auditorium for those needing accommodations. For information about accessible parking please visit:

The Viking Pavilion at PSU has ample seating for you and all your guests. No tickets are needed to attend. In addition, the ceremony will be livestreamed on our Facebook page at:

Families are encouraged to attend the award ceremony for their senior’s school (June 7th, 10:30am for SST, 11:30am for HS2). Please be aware that the activities that follow, however, are only for students.  As always, if you have any questions about graduation please contact Ms. Lewis or the Main Office (503.356.3360) and we are happy to help.

Graduation Day Details

Students should arrive by 1:00PM  on June 8. 

Students' personal items (purses, phones, etc.) must be left with friends or family during graduation. These items are not allowed backstage, and graduates may be asked to turn them over to staff.

For parents, seating at the Viking Pavilion is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please be considerate of other guests attending; families are not allowed to "reserve" whole blocks of seats for later arriving family.

There will be some reserved seating for those in wheelchairs or with similar disability needs. Please let the ushers know when you arrive if you have special seating needs.

It is expected that our graduating seniors dress in attire that matches the significance of this event. Caps and gowns need to be worn as issued.

Please remember, no balloons are allowed inside the Viking Pavilion

HS2 Grad Night

This is a parent-organized and hosted, drug and alcohol-free party. Grads will be transported to the party facility directly from HS2 bus loading begins at 8:45 and will leave promptly at 9PM. The Bus returns to the school at 2AM. Tickets are 10$ and will be sold during lunches the preceding weeks. 

Note: Grad Night is not sponsored by BSD, but instead is sponsored by our PTO and Grad Night Committee. The activities associated with this event are not affiliated with the Beaverton School District.
